Return Of The House Sparrow
friday 19th October 2018
Our guests love to watch the birds on the feeders outside the dinning room at breakfast and we love to see the birds too.
Blue tits, great tits and sometime long-tailed tits, green finches, gold finches, siskins and even woodpeckers are frequent visitors, but there's one bird common in the UK which we've never seen in the Pottery House garden, up until about a month ago.
House sparrows are frequently seen in the village, people we know often have flocks of them in their gardens, but until recently never at the Pottery House, no idea why.
And then suddenly they started to visit the bird feeders and now we see them most days.
Absolutely delighted.
