Common Sandpiper.
Loch Ruthven is an RSPB bird reserve and is most famous for its Slovenian Greebes during the summer months. It has frequently been featured on BBC Nature watch with Bill Oddie.

Spend a peaceful hour just watching the birds and reading all the information in the hide.

But even if birds are not your thing Loch Ruthven is a beautiful, peaceful spot and the drive between there and Dores is spectacular.

There's a small beach on the loch, this is the view from here across the water.

Keep your eyes peeled, there's always something interesting to see.
