In January 2005 Loch Ness reached it's highest level for more than 10 years.

Local Wildlife

Red Deer
Deer can often been seen in the woods around us, more especially in the winter months when the cold forces them down from their higher grazing. |

In the Spring the local woods and hills are covered with these. |

The bees seemed to love the thistles we planted in the garden. |

Foyers and The Falls Of Foyers
The village of Foyers is approx. 10 miles from Pottery House and has a
spectacular waterfall as well as a coffee shop and stores. There are also some
lovely walks from Lower Foyers through woodlands out to the edge of Loch Ness.

The Black Isle
The Black Isle is just across the Kessock bridge from Inverness.
Chanonry Point is reputed to be the best place in the UK to see dolphins.

Findhorn Bay
The coast all the way from Nairn to Lossiemouth is strewn with clean,
beautiful, quiet sandy beaches. Findhorn bay is a beautiful spot, as is
Lossiemouth below.
