Directions >> Using a Sat Nav device >>> Points Of Interest

If your Sat Nav device has the option of loading Custom POIs we have our very own Points Of Interest files which you might like to load before your holiday at Loch Ness.

The Pottery House POI's include places to visit, eating out as well as points of interest, and of course Pottery House itself. Click the following link and then save the folder to your PC. It contains an instructions file describing the folder contents.

Click Here to Download POI Files

These files intended to be used as destinations during your stay. Say for example you want to go and see the Moray Firth dolphins, simply call up the “Custom POIs” on your Sat Nav, look under “Pottery House – Places To Visit”, select “Dolphins – Chanonry Point” and click “Go”.

In your room at Pottery House is a list of things to see and do, all these are contained in the POI files so it’s easy to select and travel to the places you want.

There is a free piece of software called POI-Loader downloadable from the Gamin web site, which will load the POI files above onto your device. Garmin Web Site
There is a free piece of software called SmartST downloadable from the NavMan web site, which will load the POI files above onto your device. NavMan Web Site
There is a free piece of software called TomTomHome downloadable from the TomTom web site, which will load the POI files above onto your device. TomTom Web Site

This is a relatively new facility on our web site, hence we are currently making regular changes and improvements to the files. We therefore recommend that you load (or reload) the files just before departing for your visit to Pottery House.

All feedback gratefully received.

Whilst these files have been tried and tested using a Garmin Nuvi 200w and the Garmin POI Loader, and every effort has been made to ensure their accuracy, we can accept no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred whilst using or attempting to use these files.
